Stock Market News: Jane Street Deposits Rs 4,800 Crore In Escrow, Says Source

Wall Street high frequency trader Jane Street has deposited Rs 4843.50 crore in an escrow account in favour of Sebi, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The market regulator through its speaking order had come with an interim order on July 3, 2025 that barred the wall street firm from trading in the Indian market till it deposits the Rs 4,843.5 crore in an escrow account.

Swiggy: Why Elara Securities Initiated Coverage

Food delivery and quick commerce heavyweight Swiggy has captured fresh attention from Elara Securities, which has initiated coverage on the company with an ‘Accumulate’ rating and a sum-of-the-parts-based target price Rs 450.

Swiggy’s food delivery arm is showing signs of outpacing its closest rival, Zomato, in terms of gross order value or GOV growth. Elara emphasised that the company has “improved its profitability and recently outpaced Zomato in gross order value growth; sustaining this is key.”

Mazagon Dock: What Brokerages Say

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd., has received a sell rating from Asian Markets Securities as the brokerage initiated coverage on the stock, with a target price of Rs 2,100.

The is the second bearish rating on the stock, among the analysts tracked by Bloomberg. Prior to this JPMorgan had rated ‘underweight’ on the stock last month. The brokerage values Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders at price-to-earnings ratio of 24 times FY28E EPS, as the absence of near-term triggers raises concerns over premium valuations.

The Indian benchmark equity indices continued to fall for the third straight session on Friday, dragged by share prices of HDFC Bank Ltd., Reliance Industries Ltd. and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.

The NSE Nifty 50 ended 205.4 points or 0.81% lower at 25,149.85, while the BSE Sensex closed 689.81 points, or 0.83% down at 82,500.47.
