US Market Update: S&P 500 Pares Most Gains & Dow Jones Ends Flat As Focus Shift To US & China Talks
US share indices finished Monday on a mixed note as most traders refrained from taking large bets while talks between US and China progresses. President Donald Trump said that negotiation with China at London are going well. US is receiving only good reports, as Bloomberg reported.
Dow Jones Industrial Average flat at 42,761.76. S&P 500 rose 0.09% at 6,005.88 and Nasdaq Composite rose 0.31% at 19,591.24.
GIFT Nifty Implies Higher Open; M&M Finance, Wipro, Tata Power Shares In Focus
The GIFT Nifty was trading 0.02% or 5 points lower at 25,228.00 as of 6:31 a.m. which implied a muted start for the Nifty 50.
Capri Global Capital Ltd., Mahindra & Mahindra Finance Ltd., Wipro India Ltd., and Tata Power Ltd. shares will likely be in focus because of the business related news flow overnight.
The benchmark equity indices closed higher for the fourth straight session on Monday on back of positive global cues, including robust US jobs data.
The NSE Nifty 50 ended 100.15 points or 0.4% higher at 25,103.2, while the BSE Sensex closed 256.22 points or 0.31% up at 82,445.21.
