The Nikkei 225 and Hang Seng were trading 0.75% and 0.78% as of 7:29 a.m. The S&P ASX 200 and KOSPI were trading 0.25% and 0.48% higher, respectively as of 7:30 a.m.

The S&P 500 halted a three-day rally on Wednesday as technology stocks declined. Nasdaq Composite ended lower, while the Dow Jones ended flat as traders assessed the situation between US and China.

A smaller-than-expected rise in US consumer inflation May eased some tension regarding tariff impacting prices in the world’s largest economy.

GIFT Nifty Implies Lower Open; Cyient, Nazara Tech, Railtel Shares In Focus

The Gift Nifty was trading 0.08% or 20 points down at 25,195.00 as of 6:32 a.m., as compared to 0.15% advance in the NSE Nifty 50 index.

Investors will keep an eye on Cyient Ltd., Nazara Technologies Ltd., Railtel Corp of India, and Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.

The benchmark equity indices closed higher on Wednesday, resuming advances after a one-day blip on Tuesday.

The NSE Nifty 50 ended 37 points, or 0.15% higher at 25,141, while the BSE Sensex closed 123 points, or 0.15% up at 82,515.
