Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd’s. shares will be of interest to investors this Friday, as it is the final day to purchase shares to be eligible for the upcoming dividend before the stock goes ex-dividend.
In the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025, Samvardhana Motherson announced a final dividend of Rs 0.35 per equity share of Rs 1 face value for the financial year 2025. The record date for the dividend is June 23, 2025.
Due to India’s T+1 settlement cycle, shares bought on the record date (June 23) will not qualify for the dividend. Therefore, investors must own shares by June 20 to receive the dividend.
The company reported a 6% increase in revenue in Q4 FY25, reaching Rs 29,317 crore, compared to Rs 27,666 crore in the same quarter last year. Ebitda saw a slight decline of 1.6% year-on-year to Rs 2,643 crore in the January-March period, compared to Rs 2,686 crore.
The margin contracted to 9% from 9.7%. However, net profit surged by 19.6%, reaching Rs 1,051 crore compared to Rs 879 crore in the previous year. Additionally, the board of Samvardhana Motherson International approved the issuance of bonus shares in the ratio of 1:2.
