Hong Kong stocks fell on Friday, tracking a pause in Wall Street’s rally, driven by growing investor concerns that the artificial intelligence boom has pushed valuations to excessive levels.
The Hang Seng Index dropped 1.1 per cent to 26,455.01 as of 11am local time, putting the benchmark on track for its biggest weekly loss in 10 weeks. The Hang Seng Tech Index shed 1.1 per cent. On the mainland, the CSI 300 Index declined 1.1 per cent and the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.4 per cent.
