Hong Kong stocks fell on Thursday, as weak holiday spending in mainland China stoked concerns that consumption would not provide much support to the economy.
The Hang Seng Index declined less than 0.1 per cent to 26,827.93 as of 11.20am local time, adding to a 0.5 per cent drop in the previous session. The Hang Seng Tech Index rose 0.9 per cent.
