Gold prices hit an all-time high on Monday, surging to Rs 1,00,480 per 10 grams, up from Rs 1,00,300 per 10 grams the previous day, amid escalating Israel-Iran conflict, according to the Indian Bullion Association.
Some of the major metro cities saw a similar trend on June 16. In New Delhi, the price stood at Rs 1,00,130 per 10 grams, compared to Rs 99,960 per 10 grams on Friday. Gold price in Mumbai was Rs 1,00,300 per 10 grams against Rs 1,00,140. In Kolkata, the rate was Rs 1,00,170 per 10 grams, while in Bengaluru the rate stood at Rs 1,00,380. The price for the precious commodity was the highest in Chennai, trading at Rs 1,00, 580 per 10 grams.
In the United States, gold was trading higher at $3,445.80 an ounce.
Aug. 5 futures for the yellow metal saw an uptick to Rs 1,00,314, according to Multi Commodity Exchange.
Silver Price
Silver price was also at an all-time high on Monday standing at Rs 1,06,920 per kg. July 4 futures for the commodity saw a 0.02% decline to stand at Rs 1,06,474 per kg.
It was trading at $36.24 in the United States on June 16.
