Gold prices on Tuesday dipped to Rs 99,960 per 10 grams, down from an all-time high of Rs 100,480 per 10 grams the previous day, amid the escalating Israel-Iran conflict, according to the Indian Bullion Association.

Some of the major metro cities saw a similar trend on June 17. In New Delhi, the price stood at Rs 99,610 per 10 grams, compared to Rs 100,130 per 10 grams on Monday. Gold price in Mumbai was Rs 99,780 per 10 grams against Rs 1,00,300 per 10 grams. In Kolkata, the rate was Rs 99,650 per 10 grams, while in Bengaluru the rate stood at Rs 99,860. The price for the precious commodity was the highest in Chennai, trading at Rs 1,00,070 per 10 grams.

In the United States, gold was trading higher at $3,420 an ounce.

Aug. 5 futures for the yellow metal saw a 0.03% decline to Rs 99,150, according to the Multi Commodity Exchange.

Silver Price

Silver price was at an all-time high on Tuesday, standing at Rs 1,07,210 per kg, compared to Rs 1,06,920 per kg on Monday. July 4 futures for the commodity saw a 0.01% advance to stand at Rs 1,06,570 per kg.

It was trading at $36.24 in the United States on June 16.
