Gold price in India recovered losses on Friday to rise to Rs 93,620 per 10 grams as of 7 a.m., according to the India Bullion Association. The gold price was at Rs 92,640 per 10 grams as of 7 a.m. on May 15.
Rates in New Delhi were also up to Rs 93,290 per 10 grams, according to the association. The price in Mumbai rose almost Rs 100 to reach Rs 93,450. In Kolkata, the rate was raised to Rs 93,330. In Bengaluru gold was trading at Rs 93,520. While, in Chennai, the rate surged to Rs 93,720 from Rs 92,740 on Wednesday and was the highest in the country.
The futures prices for the yellow metal on the Multi Commodity Exchange were up 0.08% to Rs 93,239 for the June 5 futures. On Thursday, futures were at Rs 92,270. The gold price had crossed the Rs 97,000 per 10-gram mark for the first time on the MCX in April, touching fresh highs.
Silver Price Today
The price for silver also erased losses to rise to Rs 96,040 on May 16 after being at Rs 95,680 on Thursday at 7 a.m. The commodity was trading in the green. Silver futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange for July 4, 2025, were up 0.45% to Rs 95,870.
