US stock futures declined in Asia trade as investors braced themselves before the release of US Personal Consumption Expenditure data, scheduled for later today. It will provide fresh hints for Federal Reserve’s policy outlook.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 futures were trading 0.14% and 0.09% down, respectively as of 7:50 a.m. The Nasdaq 100 future was trading 0.17% down.

The GIFT Nifty was trading flat at 24,626 as of 6:30 a.m. This implied the NSE Nifty 50 may open 58 points higher than the previous close.

Indus Towers Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd., NTPC Ltd., RIL and Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd. shares will likely be in focus.

The benchmark equity indices closed in the red for the second straight session on Thursday, the first day after 50% tariffs on India from the US came into effect.

The NSE Nifty 50 ended 211.15 points or 0.85% lower at 24,500.9 and the BSE Sensex closed 705.97 points or 0.87% down at 80,080.57.
