Oil Prices Extend Gains Tracking A Weak Dollar 

Oil future prices extended gains in Asia session Tuesday as the dollar index was trading near the lowest level since 2023. The August future contract of Brent crude was trading 0.50% higher at $64.95 a barrel as of 7:59 a.m.

Asia Market Update: Most Markets Trade Higher 

Most markets in Asia-Pacific were trading higher Tuesday morning, tracking global rally. The Nikkei 225 and KOSPI were trading 0.68% and 0.05% higher, respectively as of 7:43 a.m. The Hang Seng and CSI 300 were trading 1.25% and 0.23% higher, respectively as of 7:43 a.m.

US Market Update: US Shares End Higher As Technology Stocks Advance 

US share indices ended with gains as technology stocks rose. The Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 ended 0.08% and 0.41% higher, respectively. The Nasdaq Composite ended 0.67% higher.

On Friday, US share indices ended with sharp losses due to tension between US and China.

GIFT Nifty Indicates Tepid Open; Britannia Industries, HCLTech, Maruti Suzuki In Focus

The GIFT Nifty was trading 0.13% or 33.50 points down at 24,859.00 as of 6:48 a.m., which implied a tepid start for the benchmark NSE Nifty 50.

Investors may monitor Britannia Industries Ltd., HCLTech Ltd., Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., UCO Bank Ltd. share prices because of the overnight news flow.

The benchmark equity indices closed lower for the second consecutive session on Monday, dragged down by shares of HDFC Bank Ltd. and Reliance Industries Ltd.

The NSE Nifty 50 ended 34.1 points or 0.14% lower at 24,716.6, while the BSE Sensex closed 77.26 points or 0.09% down at 81,373.75.
