Gold edged higher on Monday to trade at Rs 96,870 per 10 grams as of 7 a.m. after being Rs 96,040 per 10 grams around the same time on Friday. according to the India Bullion Association.
The gold rate in the United States fell sharply to trade at $3,339.60 per ounce in the red. Silver prices in the United States also saw a decline and were trading at $33.60 per ounce.
New Delhi too saw a surge as gold prices touched Rs 96,530 per 10 grams. Similar trends were followed by the other metros, like Mumbai and Kolkata, where the gold prices were Rs 96,690 per 10 grams and Rs 96,570 per 10 grams, respectively. In Bangalore the rate was 96,770 per 10 grams.
The price of the precious metal in Chennai topped the charts to trade at Rs 96,980.
However, futures for the yellow commodity were down 0.02% at Rs 96,400 as per Multi Commodity Exchange data.
Silver Prices Today
Silver price also increased to trade at Rs 98,360 per kg on May 26, 2025. Silver futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange for July 4 were down 0.06% at Rs 98,000.
