On Friday, gold saw a slight decline to trade at Rs 96,040 per 10 grams as of 7:00 a.m., according to the India Bullion Association. On Thursday the precious metal traded at Rs 96,100 per 10 grams.
Gold in the United States also followed the same trend and dropped slightly from Rs 3,342 an ounce on Thursday to hold strong at $3,300.80 an ounce on Friday, as per India Bullion Association data.
The New Delhi gold rate retreated to Rs 95,700 per 10 grams on Friday, from Rs 95,760 on Thursday. Other big cities like Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata also followed the trend. In Mumbai, gold prices are holding steady at Rs 95,870 per 10 grams on Friday, from Rs 95,920 per 10 grams on Thursday. In Kolkata it was trading at Rs 95,740 per 10 grams, and in Bengaluru the rate again saw a drop to Rs 95,940 per 10 grams from Rs 96,000 in the previous trading session.
Silver Price
The silver price was Rs 98,120 per kg on Friday after being Rs 98,390 per kg on Thursday. In the United States, the rate was $33 an ounce.
Futures
Futures for both the metals saw an uptick. While June 5 futures for the yellow metal were up 0.07% to Rs 95,600 per 10 grams, July 4 futures for silver were 0.10% higher at Rs 97,897 per kg.
