MSCI Rejig: Coromandel International, Nykaa Parent FSN E-Commerce Added In May 2025 Rebalancing

Coromandel International Ltd. and FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd., the operator of e-commerce platform Nykaa, have been added to the MSCI Global Standard Index as part of MSCI’s May 2025 semi-annual review, according to a statement early on Wednesday. The changes will take effect after market close on May 30. There were no deletions from the index.

Stock Market Today: Nifty, Sensex Rebound As Airtel, ICICI Bank Shares Lead 

The NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex rebound Wednesday as Bharti Airtel Ltd. and ICICI Bank Ltd. share prices lead. The Nifty 50 rose 98 points or 0.40% higher at 24,676.35, and the Sensex rose 401.81 points or 0.50% higher at 81,550.03.

At pre-open, the NSE Nifty 50 rose 35.45 points or 0.14% to 24,613.80, and the BSE Sensex rose 0.15% or 120.93 points to 81,278.49.

Oil Prices Fall On Supply-side Worries

Crude oil futures declined as supply worries weighed on investors’ mind following US President Donald Trump’s recent remarks on Iranian oil exports. In a visit to Saudi Arabia, Trump said that the US will put maximum pressure on Iranian exports unless an agreement is reached on Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies’ nuclear program.

Brent crude future was down 0.66% at $66.19 a barrel as of 8:12 a.m.

The GIFT Nifty was trading flat at 24,792.50 as of 6:52 a.m., which implied over 200 points higher start for Nifty 50 against the index’s Tuesday close.

Investors will monitor Bharti Airtel Ltd., Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd., ITD Cementation Ltd., Siemens, and Tat motors Ltd. share prices as they have released their fourth quarter results post market hours Tuesday.

Sensex and Nifty 50 ended the day with losses on Tuesday’s trading session. Nifty 50 ended 1.39% lower at 24,578.35 and Sensex closed down 1.55% at 81,148.22.
